Description of the EMAS System
The EMAS system (Electronically Controlled Multi-Axle Steering System) is made up of electronic and hydraulic elements.
The electronic part consists of:● two angle sensors mounted on the front steering box and the steering rear axle linkage● two pressure sensors mounted on the steering solenoid valve block● a computer (ECU) equipped with two processors to control and secure the operation of the EMAS system● a warning system on the dashboard for a user
The hydraulic part consists of:● a flow control solenoid valve block● a steering solenoid valve block that ensures steering & centring● a steering cylinder is linked to the linkage on the left wheel of the steering rear axle
